Jamie Hageman is a landscape artist working from his studio in the Scottish Highlands. He was a finalist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2015, and his paintings are held in private and corporate collections worldwide. The artist was first propelled into the spotlight when he was chosen as a finalist in the inaugural Jolomo Prize for Scottish landscape Painting in 2007. He sold all of the exhibition pieces at the Air Gallery in London the following year. Jamie moved to Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands in 2002 from his home in Lincolnshire. Already a keen climber and mountaineer, he found a wealth of inspiration for his paintings while walking and climbing on the mountains in Glencoe. When describing his work he says ‘my paintings are graphic – I like detail and getting down to the nitty gritty. I am often awestruck in the mountains and would like the viewer to feel the same emotions.’ Jamie’s artwork has featured in several national publications including The Scotsman and Sunday Post newspapers, as well as Art of England, Scottish Homes and Interiors and Art News Scotland magazines.
