anna king and ellis o'connor
09/01/2017 to 10/22/2017

In our white gallery we welcome two scottish artists whom both work from the landscape - anna king's work explores the margins of landscape, inspired by the periferies and edges, deserted buildings and empty spaces, working with oil paint and pencil anna's work is simply stunning. Ellis o'connor is a young visual artist who works with drawing, painting, printmaking and photography to depict the relationship between human activity and environmental change - often working on large scales and building up layers of paint or ink which mimic geomorphic layers, ellis wishes to confront viewers with sublime imagery that may evoke a change in awareness or sense of individual responsibility for environmental issues.
